The North Star was a crew on the Viridian Ocean. It was founded January 6th, 2008.
Extended public statement
From the beginning of maritime travel, every navigator has depended on a celestial point in the sky, a star to guide them on their voyage and a star to lead them back to home....... We are The North Star....The only star in the sky that that never moves, it is constant and unwavering, a guide to all who embrace it.
Crew rank requirements are as follows:
Cabin Person -- only if you want to be one.
Pirate -- have the badge and ask any officer when in port.
As a pirate, your skills will be monitored by the Captain and SO's to determine if you possess the skill set required to advance, not only in rank, but also as a player in PP.
Officer -- Must have the Badge and at least 4 Solids in Piracy skills. Must show leadership in action, and be a crew member in good standing. A ship of you own is a plus, but we have training sloops available. An Officer appointment is made based on the decision of the Captain.
Fleet Officer & Senior Officer -- Must have the Badge. Must have a ship of your own. Must show leadership in action. You will be required to run pillages and be able work and teach at the same time. FO & SO positions are earned in this crew. Appointment to either of these ranks will be made only after consultation with the crew's SO's and the Captain.
If you possess a labor badge, we have a few Crew stall's and shoppes that could use your help: Sink, Sank, Sunk, Ship Yard on Napi Peak; Stubby's Weaving Stall on Napi Peak; Thanatos Blades on Labrynith Moors; Dionysus Spirits on Labrynith Moors.

Have fun...that is what this GAME is all about...FUN. If you like to pilly and meet new people, this is the place for you. If you like to create drama and tension, or you do not like to function within a chain of command structure, this is not the crew for you. Although there are many, many crews on Viridian that can accommodate your needs.
With that having been said, I will NOT tolerate anyone who discriminates against any player in this or any crew on Viridian for any reason.
