Template talk:Inuse
NOTE: This talk page is not in the middle of a major edit.
The Inuse template messages are placed at the top of a page you are interested in reserving for an extended period of time. The tag is intended to inform people that someone is currently working on the article, thereby reducing edit conflicts.
To use, just add {{inuse}} at the top of the article you want to work on. If you want to reserve it for a specific length of time and optionally, a message, use {{inusefor}} . Please remember to remove the Inuse note as soon as you're finished editing.

How long is this meant for?
Some of the articles marked with this template haven't been touched in over a month. I'm not a big fan of reserving an article for only one person's edits if they are not actively trying to do major edits and feel that a month without an edit should be sufficient to question the use of the template. --Guppymomma 12:00, 14 August 2006 (PDT)
- I have the same reservations with regard to these templates. IMO, they should only be used for a few hours at a time, at most. Any further document-building and experimentation can be donei n a user-namespace sandbox until the page is ready for primetime. --AtteSmythe 12:58, 14 August 2006 (PDT)
