Usage

This template is used to display a compact table of contents on the blockade history pages. By default, the TOC lists and provides intra-page links to all of the months beginning from March 2012, the month in which blockades were first enabled following the creation of the three merged oceans. For blockades before the merge, the original {{BlockadeTOC}} ^(Usage) template should be used. The following usage instructions are a copy from that template, but the function is exactly the same - the original template is simply being used as an example here because it is easier to show the functionality of the template with more years.

The display of various years and months may be suppressed by inserting a blank parameter with that year or month's name. For example, the parameter |2005=| will suppress all of 2005, while |Mar2005=| will suppress only March in 2005. This feature is useful if a particular blockade history page is missing a month or year, though in practice it may not be helpful to novice editors if this is used. (Note that month names are three-letter abbreviations - Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec - and the parameter name must be entered with both month (capitalised) and year, with no space, for it to work.)

In addition, up to three extra page sections may be included by using the Sec1, Sec2 and Sec3 parameters - note that the section name entered into the parameter must be exactly the same as that shown on the page itself. The table of contents also displays the blockade key, and similarly to the above, its display can be suppressed by including a blank |key=| parameter.

Note that since this template is not strictly a table of contents (but simply functions as such) then new months must be manually added to the table as they are added to the pages.
