How does a Notice Board be selectable on an island? We can get to it from the minimap, but not by clicking on it directly. Thanks. --Redbeardsage 17:07, 23 February 2006 (PST)

Do you mean how do you get a notice board object on an island that doesn't have one? Send a PM to Nemo with the name of the island requesting one. It's something that he selects and pops in. --Guppymomma 19:22, 23 February 2006 (PST)
No, we have the object, but you can't click on it. You can select it from the minimap, but not click on it from the main screen. --Redbeardsage 13:28, 26 February 2006 (PST)
Who's "we"? The Notice Board is selectable on every island I visit (thoguh I almost always select it through the map or the button in "Ye" anyway). When you say you can't click on it, do you mean it doesn't highlight with its info when you hold the mouse over it? Are you sure it's the right object (a screenshot would be helpful so we can see exactly what you're describing)? -Emufarmers 16:33, 26 February 2006 (EST)
If everyone you know cannot click on it, bug it in game. --Guppymomma 14:16, 26 February 2006 (PST)
Bugged in-game. In response to the previous comment, the Notice Board is there on the main screen, but not selectable or clickable. You can get to it from the minimap just fine. Nobody is able to click on the actual board. It may have something to do with the island having only a fort, not yet a palace therefore no navy. We'll see.--Redbeardsage 02:08, 27 February 2006 (PST)

Jobbing for a Crew

I've been wondering something, thought to come here, but didn't find it. What exactly does the "Jobbing for a Crew" subsection on the voyage tab mean? The things you job with a crew for are already covered by the pillaging, trade, and flotilla sections, blockades are elsewhere, what's left? Unless it is for floating or something, I suppose it could be for recruiting but it doesn't seem like that qualifies as jobbing. At any rate - the other categories seem pretty self-explanatory (though they still should be included as part of the description of the voyage tab.)

I vaguely recall that it is when the job is posted from land and not from a ship? --Guppymomma 18:39, 1 July 2007 (PDT)
I was thinking the same thing - but what would be the point of jobbing from land? Only people that do that seem to be the ones out dock pressing trying to get people into their crew - which isn't jobbing it is joining. I can see being on land while jobbing a hearty in another arch so they can go step on a ship and you can whisk to it (rather than them whisking to the one you were on) but I can't imagine any godd reason to put a jobbing notice on the board. Maybe I'll go post this in TTQA. - Patetch 10:45, 2 July 2007 (PDT)
