Talk:List of known Puzzle Pirates abbreviations and acronyms
Are Bag and Bagh common enough abbreviations for baghlah to be included on this list? Diver Down 12:55, 16 October 2007 (PDT)
- Probably. -- Faulkston 21:21, 25 October 2007 (PDT)
- Greengull - If it is an abbreviation, add it, even if it isn't that common, that's the idea of this page anyway
- Greengull - I'm thinking a redirect from Acronyms should be made, so stop our wiki-explorers getting lost, but I'm not sure how. I would be grateful if someone would make the redirect for me.
- Done. -- Faulkston 19:12, 3 December 2007 (PST)
Repeated links
I think on this page repeated links are actually useful. Unlike a paragraph that is read from beginning to end this page has more of a lookup character and it will be nice to have a link to more information after a terse definition without needing to search all of the other definitions. Of course as long as the page is small it probably isn't much of a difference. --Alfwyn 04:50, 9 February 2008 (PST)
- Alternately an internal link within this article to gather together all the different abbreviations for a single term would also be useful. One rationale behind not having repeated links in an article is to reduce the maintenance effort required to change all links in all articles so that they point to actual articles rather than a disambiguation page. -- Faulkston 13:21, 9 February 2008 (PST)
- Support, but it doesn't really matter, because the list is quite short atm. I wonder, if we really need abbreviations, that are not directly PP related? f.e.: aka, qft. --Kamuflaro 23:14, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Ocean specific entries
I think, we shouldn't include entries here, that are ocean specific (triggered by: Aim, for Aimuari on Hunter). This list won't be useful anymore, once acronyms for flags are included. The ocean specific bit would be an easy criterion, though it would exclude acronyms like RD (Robertdonald) too, that sometimes crop up in ocean unspecific forum discussion. --Alfwyn 19:19, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
If we are including ocean-specific entries, we should add Sake (Sakejima Island) and DN (Dragon's Nest) for those of us who are Viridianese (and possibly for people who are Cobaltians and Crimsonians too) lol Adrielle =) 00:36, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Ringers
If a Ringer was a Ringer because of Three Rings Design, what are they called now? Chupchup 04:32, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- I don't think this has changed, even in the years since the game has been under Grey Havens. The Ringer crews are all still named Dread Ringers. --Thunderbird 21:48, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
