Talk:List of islands with pigs or sheep

Seems like it would be nice to have these listed on their island pages, and cross linked to an Animals page for their function and form. Are animals a Natural Resource, or maybe History? Comments and ideas please.--Vurogj 19:44, 28 September 2005 (PDT)

A section called "Animal Residents" maybe? Or maybe a second paragraph after that first initial one at the top that just mentions the names of the animsls would work better without changing the "universal" format we've been using for the islands. I like the idea. Potentially a category could be added to make this list upkeep easier (in case animals are added to other existing oceans or new oceans). --Guppymomma 18:33, 30 September 2005 (PDT)

I'd say put in the first paragraph under the route descriptions. And categorizing by animal would be good (e.g. [[Category:Islands with animals|Sheep or pig or black sheep]]--Fiddler 19:23, 30 September 2005 (PDT)

Looks like consensus is for the first paragraph, with a category for each species, subcategoried under Category:Islands with animals. I can go ahead and implement this manually—a template might speed up the process a bit but becomes messy with islands with multiple sheep or different species. – Yaten ^talk 21:02, 30 September 2005 (PDT)

No longer useful?

Now that governors have the ability to place up to five pets on their island, what shall we do with this list? It'll be a true pain in the neck to try and keep it updated as governors shift animals around.--Fiddler 11:33, 12 August 2006 (PDT)

True enough. I say we maintain it for posterity; if we're keeping track of who owned which island in the dying days of Azure, why not track the pets as well? --Ponytailguy 11:51, 12 August 2006 (PDT)

Maintain it for posterity, sure, but in some other way. This list duplicates Category:Islands with animals. I'd say delete this one and maintain the category list, making a note that it has become "useless" since the Pets release.--Arminius 14:22, 29 December 2006 (PST)
