Haster and Wiping

I spoke with Liquidsilver on Obsidian, who does go by Haster12791, and is the same player from Sage/Emerald. He has stated that "He didn't feel it was needed anymore" and thus would explain the multiple attempts to wipe the page. If he does come on the page, please respect his wishes if he puts a template requesting deletion. --Jzburda 22:12, 10 April 2018 (UTC)

It is the long-standing policy here at YPPedia to retain historical and biographical information. This is based on the principle that players and other contributors do not own articles, even if they pertain to their own pirates. This is community documentation, and all contributors assign copyright license under Creative Commons. If a pirate is deleted or purged, then we add a note to the article and retain the information as historical. But we will not delete information "on request" without a compelling rationale. By the way, it does not appear that you obtained permission to post that chat log, which is against forum rules. As far as I understand, this rule extends to services such as YPPedia. Chupchup 22:22, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
My bad. I had no idea that was against the rules, as it was not in Policies and Guidelines. I wanted something to fall back on if someone attempted to call me out for vandalism. --Jzburda 22:39, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
If he wants to pare the page down quite a bit, that would be fine. Definitely leave the date he started playing, then cut the rest of the bio down to a couple sentences about his previous crews/flags. --Budclare2 23:04, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
