Talk:Event E2/Proposal Admiralkrieg

From YPPedia

A couple questions

Will they be allowed to use /crew, /o, /fo or any other form of chat at all?

And on a different subject, what if the person starts to snooze?

Otherwise I think the idea is awesome. :)

Only vessel chat or the jobbing crew chat would be noticable. All one has to do to prevent snoozing is to move their mouse.

Will the boat be at sea or in port? Ancient Calendar? I must be unfamiliar with this piece of furniture. Shandra (Taco)

I had the idea to do a survivor related theme but found it a bit too time consuming if I wanted to do justice to the show. This shortened version based on part of the show sounds interesting. I LOVE the idea of bribes and can't wait until this contest goes for 30 hours until all but 1 person has to log :P JD6627(Kovy)

Did you consider that there are programs out there, which automatically move your cursor after a certain period of time, so you don't start snoozing or time out? Your participants could simply switch on one of those and walk afk. Sseth

Has it occurred to anyone that this is quite possibly the most boring event ever? (Und3rt04d)

Question/Suggestion

I was thinking this might be a problem as well. A possible suggestion is that at certain random times, you'd announce a question they need to answer, or do a roll call. You could either has the entire group to say "here" or randomly ask each person something throughout the event, and give say, just for an example, 3-5 or even 10 minutes to reply (in case they legitimately ran to the restroom or to get a drink). If no reply came in the max time, their tribe has spoken and they get planked. Just a suggestion, but something to verify that people really are there and not just having a program wave the mouse.--Muroni 05:13, 8 February 2006 (PST)
