Promotions
- Cabin Person - Only as punishment
- Pirate - When you join! Welcome!
- Officer - Be willing to pillage a lot, have broads in all the basic pirate duties (sailing, bilging, carpentry, gunning), or have the deed to a ship, and an officer badge so you can run pillages.
- Fleet Officers - You MUST be a trusted member of the crew. Fleet Officers and above are able to access the coffers, enabling them to access the crew funds. You must also pillage a lot and show some stat improvements. The decision to promote a player to FO is up to the Captain and Senior Officers.
- Senior Officers - Assigned by the captain ONLY, asking to be promoted to SO will probably not help much. These are the most trusted members of the crew. These players have most likely been on the crew for ages, and pillage regularly.
Where our name comes from:
The Prose Edda, also known as the Younger Edda, Snorri's Edda (Icelandic: Snorra Edda) or simply Edda, is an Old Norse language Icelandic collection of four sections interspersed with excerpts from earlier skaldic and Eddic poetry containing tales from Norse mythology. The work is often assumed to be written by the Icelandic scholar and historian Snorri Sturluson around the year 1220.
- The Four Books Of The Prose Edda:
- Prologue - The Prologue is the first section of four books of the Prose Edda.
- Gylfaginning - Gylfaginning deals with the creation and destruction of the world of the Norse gods, and many other aspects of Norse mythology.
- Skáldskaparmál - Skáldskaparmál is the third section of the Prose Edda, and consists of a dialogue between Ægir, a god associated with the sea, and Bragi, a skaldic god, in which both Norse mythology and discourse on the nature of poetry are intertwined.
- Háttatal - Háttatal is the last section of the Prose Edda.
She foresees the final battle between gods and giants that will end in their mutual destruction. Sun and stars fail, the earth sinks beneath the sea, but in the final stanzas, she describes a second green earth rising from the waters.
"an axe-age, a sword-age,
shields will be cloven,
a windage, a wolf-age,
before the world's ruin"
Welcome to THE PROSE EDDA!
