Southern Steel is a flag founded by Crossleg (the captain is obviously southern) that operates mainly in the Jade Archipelago on the Cobalt Ocean.
Southern steel is the remake of the Rebel Alliance which was disbanded. It has hit harder than the Rebel Alliance in a shorter amount of time and is growing fast.

History
Southern Steel is currently doing well as the flag it replaced failed horribly. The Rebel Alliance started strong but didn't stay there. Soon the monarch's crew started failing and Crossleg was forced to disband it in order to save the dying confederacy. Crossleg at the time said "sorry guys it's either the flag, or the flag and crew".
The confederacy then took refuge in its allied flag wings of gold (though a few hearties disagreed) until it was reconstructed a few days later. It built up extremely fast in about 3 days.
Back on its feet, the confederacy was ready to have a monarch again and thus the promised remade flag Southern Steel was born. It is now accepting crews into its ranks. The SS took part in a betrayal of Imperials and because of this war was forced to break the alliance with Wings of Gold becuase of the alliance web.
