Public Statement
"Papa's gotta brand new bag!!!!!" A seasoned veteran captain, in search of a skilled and loyal crew. If you enjoy lots of pieces of eight and fun on the high seas join our happy family.
TEAMING 101: In the sea battle, teaming is of the utmost importance. Our team is on the left and the opposing team on the right. The enemy with the white border around the puzzle is the one you are attacking, the dot or dots beside it represents you and anyone else who is attacking that enemy. Each dot is a person, solid orange dots are five people. Please ensure you are teamed in groups of 2s and 3s at all times. Rumble is an exception, do not team in rumble.
JOBBERS: Do not ask to port, gun,navigate, split booty, or be generally annoying or you will find yerself swimming. Please find your way to an empty station at which you do well unless ordered somewhere else. The CO of the ship will address crew issues and jobber questions ONLY in port.
Any jobber is welcome and encouraged to join. Promotions are strict and are so for the betterment of the crew as a whole. All promotion requirements are in the private statement.
History
For the first two weeks of the crew's existance only the captain and a sole SO, Nautica, were ranked above pirate. For the first month and a half of the crew's existance, Piratepapa and Nautica ran the crew and trained the officers and pirates. During this time the crew first joined Quixotic Tangent then joined Lunatic Fringe, the reason for this move was never officially given. After the first month and a half, the crew underwent some dramatic changes. An officer from Piratepapa's first crew, though not in that crew long, and his friend joined the crew. Around that time, Nautica, who was first mate and had been with the crew from the begining, left the crew. Two other friends of Piratepapa joined the crew. And the crew rejoined Quixotic Tangent. All these changes happened within a one week time period and the reasons are not fully known.
- In mid-July 2006 Nautica rejoined the crew, much to the pleasure of the crew. She vowed to never leave willingly again.
- In mid-August 2006 several officers left to form their own crew. They were motivated by a desire to try something new and undertake a new challenge rather than any crew or personal issues.
- In mid-September 2006 Piratepapa, founder of Smoke and Fire, stopped logging on and fell dormant. It is believed that he was banned or lost internet access as nothing less would separate him from his crew. Nautica, as first mate, was voted in as the new captain of Smoke and Fire.
- In late-October - early-November 2006, Nautica resigned as captain and the crew voted Honornpride the new capain.
- About a month after the crew moved to T-N-T from QT, Stea changed crews to be with more of her friends from her QT days.
- In early-April 2007, Honornpride fell dormant and Nautica was again voted in as captain. She kept the crew oligarchic during the transition period and while discussing with Shero (Chickipu had also fallen dormant) what the plans were for the furture of Smoke and Fire.
- At the end of May in 2007, Nautica, gave captaincy back to Honornpride when he came back to the game.
- At the begining of June 2007, Nautica was expelled for personal reasons and shortly after Smoke and Fire left TNT and joined Notorious.
- About July 5, 2007, Honornpride retired, leaving the crew to Ang.
- Around July 15, 2007, Smoke and Fire merged with Impossible Situations.
