Silent But Deadly was a crew on the Sage Ocean.
When Wiking and Slashinleroy founded SBD in January 2008 the plan was very simple. Start a new crew made up of hearties and keep the standards very high. Do not sign cabin persons or pirates and work on the theory of quality not quantity. Who needs the hassles? Not us! We just want to pillage and have fun.
It didn't take long for SBD to attract good friends and through the guidance of Elite players such as Pippynoshoes, Slashinleroy, Scrubbs, Lepicarde and Ffrulesall, they were able to achieve a top 10 Illustrious ranking within the first 3 weeks of existence! Achieving Wiking's goal and a place in Sage Folklore. All with less than 20 crewmembers!
If you want to join our crew read about us first and ask if you dare. We won't waste your time and we hope you won't waste ours. Remember, friends first. We only want 40 maximum in our crew so best be quick if you want to join the SBD fellowship.
Promotions
If you would like to join our crew please ask an officer. Anyone is welcome to join our crew but we have very strict requirements for promotion. If you don't meet the required standard, please accept this and don't ask for a promotion again until you do.
- Pirate: Broad experience and a Respected standing in one of the puzzles.
- Officer: We ask you meet the following standards:
- Broad minimum in all Seamanship duties and some good stats - Master or better in at least 2 puzzles.
- If your skills are excellent and you choose not to B Nav you can be an officer. Just stay away from the wheel unsupervised.
- Fleet officer: We promote as we see achievement and participation. If you have the skills and you are mature enough you will know promotion comes with trust and effort.
The Captain and SO's will make all decisions together.
