Red Mourning was founded on January 22nd, 2006, by Rachelm and Penguinmaste. The two left La Fin Du Monde directly prior to their old crew's departure from Indestructible Fury. On January 24th, 2006, the crew Insomniacs, headed up by Scoutmaster, merged into Red Mourning. On March 4th, 2006, Red Mourning attained Illustrious fame status with a total of 56 members.
