The Rank Manager is an Excel tool for determining what rank to give new, incoming, or upcoming pirates. It is a third-party tool maintained and created by Samos. The first edition of Rank Manager was released on April 3, 2013, with idea-development from Empresstamar and Layers.

• Each puzzle will score a max of 100.
• Each pirate will be able to achieve a max score of 100 overall.
• Disbursement of ranks is based on a bell curve.
• Disbursement of rank score is based on a modified bell curve.

Setting Sail

First, access the tool here by going to OneDrive. Second, download the tool by clicking on the ... in the upper right corner and selecting Download.

Basics

The first tab has basic instructions to the running of the sheet. The second tab is the Rank Manager itself. Do not, under any circumstances, change the matrix information. It will cause the sheet to calculate incorrectly with reference to the scoring base.
