Knights Errant is a crew that sails the Meridian Ocean, formerly of the Viridian Ocean.
History
Knights Errant was founded on 13 July 2005 by Pieterse.
Public Statement
The typical knight errant of Arthurian romance wandered in search of adventure and of chances to prove his bravery and his chivalry. The "Knights Errant" are adventurers, in search of adventure and profit, and a chance to do an act of daring do or two. While doing so, we strive to respect our friends and foes alike in chivalric tradition.
While "Knights Errant" is officially Autocratic, in practice we value individual freedom. Each officer is expected to own his own ship and is its master. We want each member to develop their skills and seek their fortune as their hearts dictate.
When jobbing for us, follow normal customs of not asking for membership or promotion while at sea, stay at your duty post and help keep the ship going, notify us when you must leave, and don't leave while in battle -- desertion in the face of the enemy will cause a reduction of your booty and make you unwelcome on future voyages.
