Crew Information
- "We've had fame and fortune: we had power and politics. Through it all there has been terrific humour and enjoyment. When we came together on this ocean, it was not to plunder its riches, though we do... It was not to play at its politics... though we have. It was purely to seek and enjoy that most precious of commodities: fun." - Theby, taken from crew records.
The Rogerers are a group of mates from different crews on another ocean who came together on Cobalt to enjoy each other's company. Secure in their puzzling, and needing no ego massages, they exist solely to do what they fancy on the day. Mostly that involves pillaging, wenching, drinking and pillaging. In that order.
Upon discovering Matinicus' epic pillages, and appreciating the like-minded fun seekers in his crew, The Jollies found themselves more and more sharing game time with Schroedinger's Cat members. It was inevitable then that the crew eventually joined Flaming Rosebud; appreciative of its naming history, of the excellent puzzling standards, and the fun-loving mates to add to the enjoyment of this fine game.
Jolly Rogerers tend to avoid politics, but no cow is sacred, and they do follow their urges where they lead. Where players let down the spirit of the game or abuse its mechanics, a Rogerer is usually hot on the pvp trail and they have forced more than one ne'erdowell to change their style of play or make apology.
Y!PP is just a game, where all players deserve respect and where all come to share a laugh and a few beers. When the party ends, this crew shall sail once more to some other shore seeking further adventures.
Note: The Jolly Rogerers only rarely takes new members, though occasionally friends are enlisted. Hard working jobbers seeking a good crew are generally passed over to the sister crew in the flag or introduced to other reputable crews with training programmes.
