Island Raiders is a crew that battles on the Emerald Ocean. It was founded by Pdxjam on the Sage Ocean on August 5th, 2007. Pirates who would like to join Island Raiders should contact an officer from the crew. The Island Raiders currently have 48 dormant members in their crew
Public Statement
Our crew is based on helping each other, making important decisions together, and being succesful in whatever our endeavours may be. We welcome like minded pirates and will base ur rank on experience as well as stats.
Rules
- Please ask permission to board any ship smaller than a MB or WB. This includes sloops, dhows, cutters, and baghlahs.
- No begging, cheating, or stealing.
- Please treat others as you would wish to be treated, and feel free to speak your mind in a respectful manner. This is very important.
- Pirates known to us who are officers in their prior crew will likely be made officers in our crew. Otherwise give us a chance to get to know you before asking for a promotion. Anything higher than Officer requires that we trust you and feel you will make positive contributions to our crew.
- Our crew colors are maroon, navy, and white. If you can wear some of these colors on larger pillies it would be appreciated.
Promotions/Ranks
Pirate - Broad experience in Sail, Carp, and Bilge.
Officer - Solid experience in Sail, carp, and Bilge. 1 master, and 1 respected. Must be sponsored by FO or SO.
- Some exceptions may be made for those that show a lot of dedication to learning and to the crew. Officers and above should never leave in battle except in unexpected situations that could not be forseen.
Fleet officer - 3 Solids, Broad in Bnav 3 Masters, crafting skills apply. SO as Sponsor.
- Fleet officers are able to run pillages, XO for other officers, and able to perform most stations though not all required. They can answer many questions that others have.
Senior officer - Will be sponsored by the Captain. Must show maturity and capability to run the crew if the captain were unavailable. Should be taking leadership when difficult situations arise and show respect when guiding other crew towards growth. People skills are more important than rankings, though both are desirable. They should be able to answer most if not all questions that junior officers have.
Captain - If you're ready for this you'll be ready to leave us. Won't be as much fun though.
Your sponsor is also your Mentor - please ask you Mentor for help first with anything, if they are not on-line - ask the crew. Ask the appropriate level of officer to sponsor you and they will tell you they can or if not help you find a sponsor.
