Basic information

Motto

We may start small but we will make it big!

Public statement

We are a group of friendly pirates who enjoy exploring the high seas. Our crew colours are blue and white. All are welcome to join us on this quest to making our mark in this ocean of fun and games.

Extended public statement

If you would like to join our friendly crew, please approach Maxouse and his team of officers to get a rank and be a part of us.

Ranking system

Amidst all these fun and games, every pirate knows deep inside his heart that he wants a rank, something he can be proud of, something that would propel him to outperform himself. So, we have introduced this fabulous ranking system which promises to boost everyone’s mentality to move forward as an individual, as a group of friends, or simply, as a crew.

Cabin Person – It is the punishment rank, which you do not want to be in. However, you may redeem yourself by having good behaviour for 3 days and helping out.

Pirate – It is the rank you get automatically upon joining our crew. This rank is not permanent because you can be promoted with promising standings.

Officer – This is the rank which allows you to pillage on your own. To attain this rank, you must have 2 broads in duty puzzles and standings of Proficient and above, or own a ship. You must either attend a Pirate-Officer Special Training (POST) where we will teach you how to pillage on your own, or pass the Test for Officer Eligibility (TOE).

Fleet Officer – This is the rank which requires some trust by the Captain and the Senior Officers. To attain this rank, you must have 2 broads and 2 solids in duty puzzles (including experience in Battle Navigation) and standings of Distinguished and above. It is best that you own a ship, but otherwise is fine as well. If you are joining the crew and would like to take on this rank, you would have to be trustworthy and pass the TOE.

Senior Officer – This is the rank which requires absolute trust from the Captain and you must have good intentions for the crew in mind. You must have at least 1 week of experience being actively online and helping other crew members to take on this rank. You may be called on for crew issues and crew meetings to decide on administrative issues.

Captain – Well, this is the rank which is not for your taking! Ha ha!

Anthem – ‘We Are Right’

O Imperial Assassins, what a great sight!
O look at our pirates, what brilliant might!
O look at them again, they’re all in delight!
O look at our officers, each one a knave knight!
O look at our activeness, we’re on all day and all night!
O look at our swords, they glimmer in the light!
O look at our bludgeons, they put up a good fight!
O look at our clothes, they are never too tight!
O look at those brigands, they squirm in fright!
O look at those barbarians, they’re too scared to take flight!
O look at those merchants, they escape at the very slight!
O look at our crew, our future’s so bright!
O look at our fame, we’re as illustrious as the brothers, Wright!
O look at us, we work hard removing society’s blight!
O look at our chests, our booty’s never too light!
O if you need some help, we’ll put you out of your plight!
O join our friendly crew, and your choice will be right!
O our crew’s like a train, from which you’ll never want to alight!

A new chapter: On the Emerald Ocean

New beginnings

Maxouse had merged his previous crew with The Audience as he believed that the crew would prosper and do well under the leadership of the crew with the highest fame in Emerald Ocean. Although the captain of The Audience, Muaddh, was extremely friendly, Maxouse felt that the crew would do better, if they had their voices heard more effectively when they received closer attention in a smaller crew (though it's growing rapidly, but attention is paid to every single member's suggestions and comments!) Thus, Maxouse created this crew which quickly climbed to renowned fame within 3.5 days.

He was first accompanied with a friendly jobber on his pillage, Pinapplez, after which many from the crew, The Audience, hopped over and joined his crew. Accurist, a reliable senior officer, whom these officers scourged through Admiral (affectionately known to the crew as Addy) Island's inn, then joined the crew and became treasurer. The crew is growing and prospering under the care of these renowned officers, and is moving towards greater heights!

Achievements

Crew fame:

  • Eminent -- Achieved on October 30, 2012 (6 days after founding)
  • Illustrious -- Achieved on November 6, 2012 (12 days after founding)

9th / Illustrious as of November 8, 2012, 3am Pirate Time.

It is noteworthy that it is more difficult to increase crew fame due to being part of the Emerald Ocean where the top brains and pirates of both Hunter and Sage come together as one. Thus, reaching a higher level of fame is much more tenuous and difficult for all crews (thus, the crew's previous achievements should not be compared to this). Nonetheless, Imperial Assassins will do their best to become illustrious in no time.

On the Hunter Ocean

The crew's former incarnation existed on the Hunter Ocean prior to the ocean merge.

History

Beginning days

Maxouse joined forces with some other high-ranked officers, including his first mate, Slimbilly, from his previous crew Royal Assassins Brigade. It was all too smooth in the crew which was ranked 1st in crew fame, and they sought a brighter future fighting their own right and making their own mark in Hunter Ocean. They knew the only way to do so was to create a crew they could truly call their own and make it a famous, friendly and welcoming crew for all to join and have fun together.

Seeing the dirty side of famous flags – Together and Epic Quest

Many things happened soon after the creation of the crew, mostly due to difference in interests. Many flags offered their allegiance to us so that we would be able to create a blast together and gain fame and wealth together. As expected, different people have different inclinations and preferences to which flag they wanted the crew to join; the popular choices were Together and Epic Quest.

By majority vote, the crew joined Epic Quest. That was when Together turned nasty towards them and started to poach their officers to join their monarch’s crew, Compass. The crew thought they had made the right decision to join this flag, but they were to be proven wrong.

A high-ranked officer joined the crew, preferring it over his previous crew, the largest in Epic Quest, Spirit of the Caribbean. The monarch of Epic Quest, who is also the captain of Spirit of the Caribbean, though, expressed much disapproval towards this matter and attempted to bribe the officer and even offer him a promotion to stay on. This really made the crew rather infuriated at how such a highly-ranked crew and flag would resort to such dirty and lowly means. Nonetheless, the officer remained persistent and stayed with them. That was really a huge encouragement for them.

Well, that was not all for the conflict with Epic Quest. After the crew left, the flag blacklisted them because their monarch and three royals were banned from Puzzle Pirates the very day that the crew left the flag. They suspected that one of the crew did something to them. Who in the right frame of mind would suspect this crew? They were innocent and would not get involved with such issues. Thus, they moved on peacefully as they entered the next phase, which proved to be another terror.

The betrayal – a blessing in disguise

They then left Epic Quest for another flag, one created by their Captain Maxouse’s hearty, called No Quarter Given. However many officers expressed discontent towards the flag and monarch, causing much of a squabble within the crew itself. The first mate, Slimbilly, even caused such a disturbance so as to leave the crew so as to stay on with Epic Quest. Maxouse pleaded with the senior officer to stay in the crew, and he acceded to his request, pleasing Maxouse very much.

However, it turned nasty and backfired. It appeared that many were dissatisfied with Slimbilly and his presence in the crew, because of his vulgar behavior both online and over the crew's social networking site as well as his attempts to dictatorship. He even went to such extreme means as to quarrel with Maxouse’s hearty to remove the crew from the flag, which seriously angered the crew members of this eminent crew as a whole. Slimbilly left the crew, which was followed by a celebration in the entire crew.

New appointments

Maxouse identified outstanding individuals and dedicated hands in the crew to be offered exemplary posts for the crew to help out. Elada was appointed as the first mate; with her excellent statistics and willingness to lend a helping hand, she proved to be an awesome pillager and one who is kind and helpful to others. Furion was appointed as the ambassador; with his glib tongue, fantastic statistics and rich experience, he proved himself to be worthy of such an honorary title. With Maxouse, these two senior officers head the crew in crew issues and administration as a whole. Musettaja was appointed as training head, to help to train new pirates and officers in the road to success in Puzzle Pirates, with her patience, dedication and inclination to teaching, as evident in a training session with a new officer.

A new beginning – after the conflicts

Soon after the conflicts were resolved, everything started afresh for the crew. By then, within a short span of approximately 14 days (or 2 weeks), the crew had attained 10th on the crew fame list, just one below the illustrious crews. This was extremely pleasant and again, a crew-wide celebration took place, with all gearing up soon after to propel our crew upwards in fame and in happiness. The entire crew was working together happily, exceedingly well.

The flag was soon created on the 14th day as a celebration of the crew’s success so far, as well. This creation of the flag was really a great show of our unity as one crew, because the funds were fully raised from the crew members themselves. 20 doubloons was not a small amount, but all were willing to share their winnings from pillages – and, of course, every pirate’s favorite game – poker with the crew. Within 1 day of fundraising, the amount was raised and it was a pleasant flag called Heavenly Kingdom.

A long way to go, looking ahead

For all the crew members in Imperial Assassins, they strongly believe that dedication cannot merely be a short-term thing but must be one of sustaining interest and motivation. Thus, working together, they aim to hit the ranks in crew fame and rock the entire Hunter Ocean. With a new flag, nothing is impossible.

They shall take this opportunity to welcome all pirates to join their fantabulous crew which pirates should know by now, after reading this entire article, and all crews to join their awesome flag. It is important to note that they will lend a helping hand whenever help is needed, be it emotional squabbles, financial problems (which should not be related to begging or extortion of money or bribery) or even territorial issues.

Ahoy, Imperial Assassins! Ahoy, the Heavenly Kingdom! May pirates have a pleasant time with them and enjoy their flight – hey, wait, no; enjoy their… pillage, yes.

Moving along the tables

The crew and the flag both hit the ranks and constantly spur ahead of other more established crews and flags with a richer heritage than ours, but they do not fear. With pillages (and family pillages, where all active crew members come aboard to help), Cursed Isles runs and Sea Monster Hunts, together with other programs they have rolled out for all pirates to enjoy and learn from, they move ahead in fame, unity and friendship. They aim to move on to the top spots in both fame tables.

A new journey

After the school holidays for Maxouse and Elada end, the autocratic system may not be able to work that well in the crew. Maxouse explains that with an oligarchic system, he is able to save a full 10 doubloons, which can be better spent on vessels which can be unlocked for crew use. It was, thus, decided to go oligarchic, such that decisions can be made without the captain to be present all the time. It met some disagreements and opposition, but it went through at last. Maxouse then listed a few crew rules with regard to the crew issue problem of an oligarchic crew:

  1. Do not propose crew issues on promotion and demotion of people, if you are of any rank below senior officer. Approach a senior officer to help you.
  2. Do not propose any demotions of the captain.
  3. Senior officers are to vote as soon as possible on crew issues, and not obstruct the voting.

All good things come to an end

It flew the flag Heavenly Kingdom at this point. With many betrayals of senior officers, Maxouse sold the crew but restarted a new one on October 23, 2012.

Exclusive programs

Whilst other crews might believe in automatic ranks, this crew found it best for pirates to prove themselves and be able to take on their ranks to the fullest, be it for the journey to earning more Pieces-of-Eight or working for the benefit of the crew. Thus, the team of Captain Maxouse and senior officers had taken the step forward to ensure this.

Pirate-officer special training

Upon entering the crew as a pirate, it was normal for crew to seek to move a step forward. This meant entering the stage of becoming an officer. It was rather simple, because their senior officers, especially Musettaja who had been appointed training head, had dedicated some time to teaching pirates the basics of becoming an officer. These pointers included restocking, battle navigation, jobbing, planking, porting, sailing, the 'dos' and 'don'ts' when leading a pillage, with much stress on integrity as well. This way, their officers were able to take on their rank easily and perform well.

Test for officer eligibility

Some of the more experienced pirates came to the crew with bigger ambitions in mind. These officers would then be requested to take a simple oral test with a senior officer to ensure that they were able to meet the cut. The topics tested included restocking a ship, battle navigation, integrity, jobbing, planking, porting, sailing and the 'dos' / 'don'ts' when leading a pillage.
