What not to do when pirates see him: Challenge him to a Swordfight, invite him to pillage, say they are a better gunner than him, invite his crew to their flag, walk up to him and trade.

What not to do: Laze about, say he can't Battle Navigate, ask to gun over and over again, say they will watch radar, give him info about their alt or someone else's pirate and say that they are that pirate.
