Gold Rum and Glory

Gold Rum and Glory (GRG) was a flag on the Sage ocean which was established on September 29th 2006 by Kleenex of The Hearties Of Sage and Twinklestar of Noble Savages.
With the disbanding of "The Hearties Of Sage" and "Noble Savages" and inactivity of the flags remaining members, Gold Rum and Glory is currently Dormant.

Royalty and Titled Members
- One (1) member from a crew joining the flag will be made into Royalty (Prince or Princess)
- Six (6) members can be honored with a Titled Member title (Lord or Lady)
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Royal Representative from each crew does not have to be the Captain of the crew. If the Captain wishes to step down from the position he can allow for a Senior Officer to represent him as a Royal. This will be permitted to occur only after a meeting with the King the Captain and the Royal Candidate all meet together.

What are the things a pirate strives for? What are the things that makes a pirate happy? What makes us complete?
The Gold the Rum and the Glory that is what a pirate seeks and that is what gives him a reason to go on.
On a dark and humid night on the tropical island of Wensleydale, Kleenex called to order a very important urgent meeting. Unfortunately not one of his crew could be found, more than likey they were at the Inn enjoying some free time off but he had to make haste in his decision. Should he? Shouldn't he? Oh the bothersome questions, how would he explain?
He dreaded at the thought of leaving and upsetting anyone that is not his way even if he is a Pirate, but a decision he had to made. It was something he'd wanted to do for sometime, his dream to become a Pirate King. But if he left what would the consequences be? Would he be hunted down and hung?! Would he never be allowed to rest his feet on solid ground again, banished from his island home to the sea forever?! He would never know just sitting here contemplating his fate in that manner, what he needed was to make his decision.
An hour or two into his thought two of his pirate crew walked into his home. Full of Drink Dettol and Minaa walked in singing a piratey tune. At first they did not notice their Captain sitting at his desk, but when they did their singing abruptly stopped.
"You two...sit down, I've something to discuss with Ye", he said to them in a very serious manner. They'd not seen their captain so serious before it almost scared them, they almost didn't want to sit down for fear of what he had to say.
He layed out his plans before them, Dettol looked at Minaa and Minaa looked at Dettol they could tell they had the same thought. They both smiled at each other and realized that this was not a bad serious but a good serious. They continued to listen, "If I am to become a Pirate King I will need a name for my flag, a name that will stand out from the others." They all sat there in thought.
Minaa strained hard for a name in her head tapping at her temple, but it was no use her head was empty. Dettol sat with his tongue sticking out for he too was thinking hard, but alas nothing. Kleenex tapped his fingers on the desk "Drat!", he exclaimed, "What should our name be who should we be, should we strike fear into other's hearts? hmmm... Should we let them know we're the friendly sort?"
And then Minaa said, "Well I dunno about a name for the flag but I for one can say we really like to pilly and then spend the Gold." And Dettol next said. "Oh I love the Rum we get on our pilly's or buy with the gold." And Kleenex ended the though by saying, "But it is the Glory that we relish in after the Gold and the Rum." And suddenly they all looked at each other back and forth and back and forth and all at once the three pirates shouted, " GOLD RUM AND GLORY!!!! "
And so the Flag was created and Captain Kleenex became King Kleenex and he rewarded his most faithful crew members by making them his Lord's and Lady's. His co-captain Fildendron was honored by being made a Prince and his long time friend Pundit was also made a Prince. And the crew grew in fame and grew in number and grew in crews. The rest of the story is still being written hopefully you will come back to hear more of their adventures, I know I will.
