The Flag Football season can last anywhere from four to seven months. The major determining factor is how many Flag Football teams register for the preseason matches. The Flag Football season is segmented into the following pieces:
Preseason
Preseason is the time beginning of the FF games. This is when each arch determines which of its teams will be the champions to play in the regular season. The preseaon may field anywhere from one up to five teams maximum per arch.
- Preseason Games: This is the most chaotic game type. All of the entrants in each arch will compete against the other teams that registered in that arch, for the top five spots in said arch, and an invitation to the regular season. These games will be determined by total points. Each team plays in two games over the course of the preseason.
Regular Season
The regular season is a series of two types of games, conference and inter-conference, to determine the top team in each arch. Over the course of the season each team will play in a total of four games over the course of the regular season.
- Conf.: The five teams from each arch will compete against eachother. Records will be awarded as follows: two wins, one tie, and two losses will be awarded. Again, the winners will be determined by total points.
- Inter-Conf.: Eight teams will play against each other, one representative team from each conference. Records will be awarded as follows: three wins, two ties, and three losses will be awarded. Again, the winners will be determined by total points.
Bowl Series
The top team from each arch will get the chance to play in a bowl. This puts a total of eight teams in the Bowl Series, competing for the title of the four bowl games. The winner from each arch will be determined by the over-all win/loss record. Tie breakers will be determined by the following list, in order of importance from first to last.
- Conference Record.
- Inter-Conference Record.
- Total Points scored in regular season blockades.
The four Bowl Games are as follows: Midnight Division Bowls:
- Rose Bowl
- Orchid Bowl
Oceanic Division
- Starfish Bowl
- Coral Bowl
Superbowl Series
The winners of each Bowl game are paired off for two "playoff" games. The two winning teams from each division play eachother to determine the division champions. The two division champions will compete in the Championship Game - The Superbowl.
