The Midnight Sea Cucmber is a rather unremarkable looking specimen, with little to distinguish it from the others of its genus found the world over. Living a quiet unassuming life on the bottom of the sea, their primary prey consists of bilge sponges and, even the occasional slow moving Muck-Eating Minnow, which remains largely indifferent to its fate. Their primary predators are the Orange Familiar Octopus and the Deformed Eel.

Also among their major predators is mankind. For some reason lost to the annals of history, they have become a very popular food item, to the point that many pirates will consume the Midnight Sea Cucumber whenever there are no other options to their liking on the menu. In fact, it is not uncommon for a pirate to complain loudly when the Sea Cucumber is missing from the menu, even if that is not what they intended to order. This popularity does not seem to extend to the Viridian Ocean, where the Scuppering Barnacle seems to remain the dish of choice, especially among the greenies.
