Help Me, I'm Dyeing!

Help me, I'm dyeing...of boredom! I'm sitting around fryday bored out of my mind, looking for something fun to do, and hatched this idea. Our players are so creative, I bet they'd do an eggcellent job eggspressing themselves in a deggorating contest! It should be loads of fun, after all, chicks dig it! Judging should be over, easy, so don't chicken out on me! You have free range over the materials, but please no poaching from others! What can you scramble together? Just do one egg-one egg is un oeuf. Prizes all boil down to how creative you are!

Entry Thread

Prizes

1st prize: choice between parrot or octopus (lavender, mint, rose or light blue are the options, white may be one color of the parrot)
2nd prize: choice between any artifact or animal.
3rd prize: an "(adjective) Egg" sloop painted rose and white
Honorable mentions will receive other prizes such as eggs, pastel-colored trinkets, clothes or furniture. Other prizes may be added depending on participation.

What do you have to do?

Obtain a real egg and decorating supplies.
Create a pirate themed design for your egg.
Decorate your egg! (This is not restricted to just dye, more on this later)
Create a card (or slip of paper) that includes your pirate name, ocean and the year (2015).
Take at least two "creation" pictures while you are decorating your egg and one picture of the "finished" egg, to prove it's your own work. Include a card with your pirate's name, ocean and the year in EACH photo (no photoshopping).
Host your images on Imgur. You don't need to make an account--just upload them
Submit your entry with a minimum of 3 photos per entry (two creation, one finished egg) in the entry thread in the Mariner's Muse following the template below
Double check your entry to make sure you have at least three working links to each picture, and that it follows the template below.
Make sure your entry includes what prizes you would pick for each place, 1st, 2nd and 3rd, including the color you'd like. This helps me deliver prizes faster after winners are selected!

Judging Criteria

Judging will be based upon the creativity and cleverness of design, the quality and detail of the decorating. Take care with regard to shadows, flash, focus, and detail.

Other rules

Only one entry per player
Only one egg per entry
Entry must be posted by event deadline-Entry thread will then be locked.
Design must be original and your own, and not designs submitted to other contests
You are not restricted to just "dye". You may use other materials, glitter, cotton balls, paint, nail polish, whatever inspires you and will "stick" to the egg.
You are, however, limited to to the general "Egg" shape. This is a contest on how you decorate the egg, not creating a diorama that the egg is a part of. This means we don't want to see, for example: "Here is my egg, sitting in a boat". It's alright to have something holding the egg so that we can see the detail of the egg, but whatever the "holder" is will not be credited in the judging and may even detract from it if it obscures details of the egg itself.
