Dusted building Template

Hi Guppy! I'm trying to add the dusted template to the following article Marine Brig's and apparently its not working. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the building being a bazaar. Survic84401

I have already left User:Survic84401 a note about copyrighting. He is giving me static about it and flaunting that he can do it. I'm wondering how far I allow that additude to go before I give him a cooling off period. I am back by the way. Major work project at the end of the year prevented me from performing admin duties. Oh I understood all that. He left me message on my talk page that made it very clear he understood but was not going to abide by the rules. I reverted because I was replying again and wanted the message to be in context. The second time I did it you had just left him messages on the talk pages supporting what I already told him so I didn't complete the second reply. I think he might be one we keep an eye on as both responses he left for me indicated that he didn't care what the rules about wiki editing are, he was going to continue to do what he wanted anyway. Please use EXTREME caution

Please use EXTREME caution when trying to fix or order the results page. It may actually be better to simply leave it alone and let it be put in order AFTER everyone has put in their entries on the page. I know i have removed one that was Piegirl becuz she is in my team but after seeing one of the rules - "Only one officer should be managing each ship. (i.e. only one officer, the entrant, should show up in the logs of their ship) If you lose your ship, we cannot verify logs and your entry will be disqualified." "Chants"

I have a list of various chants you recive various time when challanging the Black ship and not sure if it should be added to the page:

When your on a ship and a higher power ship attacks ye and they recive the blackship, you recive a message stating:

Avast! Those cowardly dogs were nigh upon ye when a thick dark fog swells from the ocean and the Black Ship emerges! The Black Ship bears down upon yer foes and takes yer place in battle.

When your on a ship and you attack a lower rank ship and you now face the blackship you recive a message that states:

Dark clouds gather as ye bear down upon yer hapless victims, and from the miasma emerges the Black Ship to take the place of yer target in battle! Arrrrgh! Ye be doomed fer sure!

When you attack a lower ranked ship but you do not recive the black ship, ye get a mesage stating:

Woe be the crew that spends too much time ganging up on vessels with fewer pirates. There be a legend that a Black Ship sails these waters, evening the score for those that've been wronged.

Transparent

Jumping in here. Any of the popular graphics editing programs (Photoshop, GraphicConverter, etc.) will let you add transparency to an image. That being said, it can be a tedious process. Further, I've extracted the new furniture items from the resources (with transparencies). So, this weekend, I'll be updating the images. Excaliber/Excalibur (midnight crew)

I did the Excalibur->Excaliber rename because it was the crew name the article was about (now getting unsure I see it was changed for some reason 14 December 2006) and because it is the crew found today in the flag Excalibur. But now I think this needs checking. In any case the contributions in the talk notes belong to the crew page talking about the alt crew that was used in the Spring blockades --Alfwyn 12:12, 13 February 2008 (PST)

Image file extensions

You make me giggle, ever heard of paint? I can draw an image that has exactly the same pixels than a picture of a "trophy"; not a trophy in that case. You also changed the rest of my article, even tho I gave information where the source of proof can be found for these facts. -pedias are supposed to tell the truth from a neutral point of view, now you're just editing articles to make them give a positive image of the game, that is sabotage, stop it. So have a nice day with your failed edit. I'd also like to point out that an image is not a trophy; I did not add a trophy to the yppedia page, I added an image; get your facts right.

Tertiary Trinkets

I left a message on the template talk page as well. I was hit with lag right at the point I was trying to check everything to make sure it didn't break anything. Internet access slowed to a crawl. Someone must have been pulling streaming video in the building. >.< So you only checked the OM trinkets? I was in the process of checking and thought everything looked ok but due to my lag I may have been seeing things after you had reverted my edit back. I jump off his work and compared it to the Pets set up and thought I had it licked. Could you give me a specific example of which page showed a broken OM Doll link? When I looked at the OM Doll Template page I saw nothing on that page that should have prevented it from working with my change to the Colorized Trinket Template. It should have ignored the extra field. Perhaps a page or two has a weird usage of the My trinkets templates. I would really like to rule that out as a possibity before I go back to the drawing board. I really think my change is along the lines of the change that was added to my pets to get it to work for elephants. --Kgarrett1969 10:42, 5 March 2008 (PST)

It looks like you got the brackets sorted out wrong in Colorize trinket. E.g. secondary={{{secondary|{{{3|}}}}}}}}|tertiary={{{tertiary|{{{5|}}}}}}}} instead of secondary={{{secondary|{{{3|}}}}}|tertiary={{{tertiary|{{{5|}}}}}}}}. And I would prefer a {{{4}}} over the {{{5}}} but have to think a bit about the implications of a change. --Alfwyn 10:47, 5 March 2008 (PST)

The New Ocean

Ahoy! I see ye too are working hard on pages for the new ocean, well done. On the other hand, I have a question, the only pages which should be made now for the new ocean should be template pages and category pages? Or are normal pages in preparation ok too? --Knowledge13 07:40, 5 May 2008 (PDT)

What kind of main namespace pages are you talking about? At this point the only one you'd be able to do would just be a very simple Malachite Ocean page. Model it after http://yppedia.puzzlepirates.com/index.php?title=Hunter_Ocean&oldid=71310 and you can get the ocean number from the ocean page which lists them in chronological order. Other pages may be created when the ocean opens and people explore to get the island & other information. --Guppymomma 07:46, 5 May 2008 (PDT)

Ye changed the Malachite Ocean page and named it the fifth dubloon ocean, not sure if that is true even though Opal is a "dubloony" ocean, its taken as a serparate thing, International oceans. So Malachite is taken as fourth, becuase Hunter was taken as third.--Knowledge13 08:13, 5 May 2008 (PDT)

Going from the trend set by the other oceans, your Template:BK_Malachite should be Template:BK_malachite. That said, I'm not sure what they're for, as none of the others seem to have anything in their source code other than the standard "there's nothing here yet, click this link to edit". Also, there's no Opal template. I updated one of the templates you said needed updating, and made a note on your user page itself. --Belthazar451 09:14, 5 May 2008 (PDT)

On closer inspection, the BK_ocean templates are used on the official pages Official:Brigand_King_Happenings and Official:News_ocean (such as Official:News_cobalt). Deleted image

My pirate page (Owlwhisperer) is suddenly deprived of its infobox portrait, and since it gives your name as the last person to have had anything to do with it, i am addressing you. The Mediawiki software that powers the YPPedia was recently updated, and with that update came several problems and annoyances, particularly with images. It looks like this portrait was lost into the ether. Try re-uploading it, and let us know if you have any problems. --Fiddler 19:05, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Infinite block

Would an infinite block on the YPPedia mean that a user shouldn't create a new account here? User:Instantflash was blocked with an expiration of infinte but I'd like to direct your attention to User:Instazap. Thanks for the note. Several of the admins have already noticed as we're all pretty rabid Recent Changes watchers :) I've already directed the matter to Nemesis, the wiki OM.
