History
Seattlebrian has been playing since about 5 days before the end of beta testing, and was initially a resident of Winter Solstice.
Before the end of beta, Seattlebrian spent most of his time jobbing for Kao in Crimson Tide and Dittemuzz in X Marks the Spot. Although he felt welcome working in both crews, he ended up joing Dittemuzz and The Sea Dogs since they were online more and seemed to plank people less often.
Initially, Seattlebrian spent most of his time doing bilge puzzle, earning him the title of bilge rat. Seattlebrian quickly learned all ship puzzles and very soon had the experience and skill to begin officer training. It was during officer training that Seattlebrian found his favorite puzzle, duty Navigation. After becoming officer, he quickly memorized the whole ocean. Not to learn all the routes, but because he loved doing the Nav puzzle.
Seattlebrian learned to avoid battles (which would interrupt his precious nav puzzling), he became known for moving commodities safely home. In all the years of playing YPP, he has only lost a battle carrying comms once when trying to rescue a friend who had already gotten themselves damaged badly.
Finding more fun in running commodities and foraging, than war and blockades, Seattlebrian with Piranne created Sunny Places on May 29, 2004. Where he has been relaxed and happy since.
Injuries
Seattlebrian lost his hand in the first great bloody battle for Papaya I. The first blockade to ever go 12 rounds.
