History
The island is named after the legend of Cleopatra VII of Egypt's pearl earrings. The island takes the shape of a pearl earring.
There was formerly a distillery shoppe on the island, Kom El Ahmar, but it was dusted in November 2006 to make room for Shishaq, a shack housing development.
Blockades
October 23 2004: Cleo I: Boochin Katfish colonizes the island.
February 18 2005: Under the reign of Boochin Katfish, Cleopatra's Pearls becomes the first island to be converted from an outpost island to a medium island.
April 10 2005: Cleo II: Dark Judgement blockades the island. Boochin Katfish successfully defends.
January 21 2006: Cleo III: Heartless Shadows blockades and takes the island.
April 16 2006: Cleo IV: Kol Nidre blockades the island, but was halted during the second round by the Ocean Masters following negotiation between them and the two flags.
August 13 2006: Cleo V: Notorious Fandango and Silver Dawn blockade the island. Heartless Shadows wished to merge into Silver Dawn and both flags wanted the island to be transfered. Notorious Fandango held a Ketchy Cubby [1] event in order for the ocean to have a say in the transfer. Silver Dawn successfully won the island.
March 10 2007: Cleo VI: Incredible blockades the island. Silver Dawn defends in four rounds.
November 10 2007: Cleo VII: The Widow Queen blockades the island. Silver Dawn loses the Blockade by 3 rounds to 1.
November 18 2007: Cleo VIII: Both Blighted and Broadsiders blockade the island, making this the first 3-way blockade involving a brigand king. Blighted and The Queen shared the first two rounds, and in a nailbiting round 3 Blighted clinched the third round. With the Queens forces beaten, Broadsiders withdrew to ensure the brigand king lost.
February 2 2008: Cleo IX: Fair Wynds blockades the island. Fair Wynds withdrew after round two due to an unfortunate incident.
February 24 2007: Cleo X: Midnight Marauders blockade the island. A few remaining members of the now almost defunct Blighted offer some resistence. Midnight Marauders won by 3 rounds to none. Blighted subsequently disbanded
