Da Hearty Crew

I don't see any need to delete this page. -- Thefirstdude 9:23 AM, December 29 2006 (PST)

Let me check if that crew actually exists. The delete tag was put up by the original author. --Piplicus 09:24, 29 December 2006 (PST)

No such crew currently exists, and it's been nominated by the sole author of the article (bar Faulkston's edit). --Piplicus 09:28, 29 December 2006 (PST)

Greenie king

I don't see any need to delete this page too.? itch

Category:Rambutan spawns

Somebody please delete this, I created it but have now had it explained to me that it's a useless category. --Lesleywalker 03:44, 13 February 2007 (PST)

Black Legion

I submitted this page for deletion because I moved the main page because it was incorrectly titled. The page to delete is nothing more than a redirect that really isn't necessary. --Kgarrett1969 12:05, 4 May 2007 (PDT)

Category Talk:Viridian Ocean Pirates

Has no meaning what so ever. Created by a random pirate saying nothing important. Toughman 12:21, 29 July 2007 (PST)

The Hard-Headed Barbel

I don't see the need to delete this page, but it does need to look better. I just don't know how to do that. If someone could help me fix it up, it could be a much better page.

Read the policy found here regarding player owned ships. -- Cedarwings (t/c) 06:31, 1 November 2007 (PDT)

Zafram

someone please delete this, i had it finished then noticed a typo in the title which made the page completely useless

The Jazzie Crew

It seems an expelled member thinks she has the right to delete the page she worked on (see below), the crew is active I see no reason for the page to be deleted.

Due to Daydreamer leaveing the crew and tampering of "The Jazzie Crew" page on wikipedia will be removed on the 15th of October 2007. Please still note the copy right belongs to Daydreamer and to use the page formal request will be needed and aproved.

The C A C

the c a c has disbanned so there is no need for the page to stay--Ningaglio 12:48, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

We don't delete crew pages just because the crew has disbanded. --Thunderbird 13:37, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

The other image...

It is a copy of misnamed.... I tracked it down AGAIN... no need for it. --Addison 02:08, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Booch

I booched the name of Image:Image-Pirates-Aconight.jpg.... Sorry! --Addison 02:24, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Okay.. well all the images I put down here are already fixed then its proposed to be deleted because I tracked down the right name to the file and recreated it and can be deleted without messing any thing up, unless I specify a diff reason. then its proposed to be deleted because I tracked down the right name to the file and recreated it. I dont want to write about EVERY image I propose to delete because its just too spammy :P. Just saving spam for the inn! --Addison 04:45, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Bunnicula's/Aconight/Zenggah's

I've relinked all whatlinkshere. All ready to be deleted! Good night! --Addison 05:05, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Cero

It's just an extra file with no links to it, I see it uploaded under Image:Cero.jpg and Image:Pirates-Cero.jpg so delete the Image:Cero.jpg :P --Addison 15:13, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Beyond the Sea

Need to recreate under differant name but cannot because the crew's are linked really weird. --Addison 15:30, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Uncaped

They are not capitalized... I will fix them! --Addison 15:54, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

You know... they should have a move option on images. --Addison 15:54, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

EAC portraits

All of these can be deleted because I've recreated them and relinked all whatlinkshere. Check my contribs for the proof. --Addison 00:53, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Image talk:

File deleted, please delete. --Addison 14:32, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Pirate-Chaboogie...

Deleted because I added the portrait to the infobox of the crew instead of having it right under the infobox. You will see here.

No longer exists. -- Cedarwings (talk) 03:10, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

The Booty Buccaneers

It's a copy of the YPPedia:Sample crew page. We definitely don't want it as The Booty Buccaneers it on the YPPedia because some browsers will think its a REAL crew... --Addison 01:16, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

With a little digging, I found that this is the name of a crew on the Hunter Ocean. I've made a proper starter crew page, so there is no need to delete this article. -- Faulkston 03:03, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Okay, good job on the page :0). I will be expanding it in a matter of minutes. --Addison 18:22, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Image:Crews-Midnight Spirits.jpg

Theres two crews of the same name with a portrait. I've reuploaded it under Image:Crews-Midnight Spirits (Hunter).jpg. --Addison 02:23, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Image:Flags-Black Tide.jpg

Same as reason for Midnight Spirits. --Addison 02:55, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Mariealyse

This has been made as a redirect to Mariea, it WAS created under the wrong name (it was created under the username of the pirate) and the image that is also a CSD is the same case. User:Mariealyse is blanked because it was a redirect to Mariealyse, so could you delete that too? --Addison 02:48, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Death Row of Sage.

Mistyped title, unnessessary redirect. Please delete =-D --Addison 00:46, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Dead of Night

Unnessessary redirect. I moved article because of wrong name (of to Of). --Addison 04:12, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Crazymario

Unnecessary article about a pirate who no longer exists. Please delete, I was his player. --Mew4ever23 23:28, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Oppose deletion of Image:Hen.jpg

I oppose the speedy deletion of Image:Hen.jpg. It is still in use and can't easily restored once deleted. --Alfwyn 20:18, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Actually, images are no longer permanently deleted if they are deleted by an admin. They can be restored just like pages. Looking at the Hunter pirate page (all others either lack portraits, or have portrait that make it clear the pirate is not that shown in the image) doesn't show a portrait that looks like the one in that image. --Thunderbird 22:48, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Oh, good to know that deleting images isn't final anymore. I'm just a bit irritated why this image should go (speedily, trying to shortcut discussion) when it is still in use. I did some digging, and going by the comment on the image (and finding the Hunter crew Fae's Wrath) it should belong to Hendrix on Hunter, which sure looks similar. --Alfwyn 23:29, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Yup, Hendrix - http://forums.puzzlepirates.com/community/mvnforum/viewthread?p=816516#816516. As for deleting it - just rename it and slap the wrong size template on it. --Fiddler 23:54, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Apparently you're missing the point. All photos that don't meet the naming or size requirements that is customary to pirate portrait images seem to get replaced or renamed; hence replacing the former version. There is no current version of this picture since it was framed and a "similar" photo is not really the same now is it? If you want to upload an image and call it Pirates-Hendrix.jpg, be my guest, if you want to rename this one to Avatar-Hobohair-hendrix; you can do that to but as it stands and as its named, it doesnt conform to the consistency that is the Yppedia.-- Haywoodx(t/c) 00:37, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm not missing the point - it's misnamed. Whatever you re-upload it as, make sure it follows the proper naming scheme. --Fiddler 02:03, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Sorry for the crossed wires Fiddler, I was addressing Alfwyn. Am I wrong to assume that this photo needs to be deleted once a replacement is uploaded that meets the criteria of naming, size, or both?-- Haywoodx(t/c) 02:10, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Aye. There are roughly 21,000 images on the wiki. Wrong size is far less important than wrong name or wrong/no attribution. --Fiddler 02:24, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
I reuploaded it, the old version is no longer needed.--Alfwyn 15:27, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
So you still misnamed the image based on the file resolution. Now if Hendrix were to be added to the wiki, his pirate infobox would call up this image. Pretty inconsistent wiki practice if you ask me.-- Haywoodx(t/c) 15:51, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Oppose deletion of pirate articles Cupiditas and Omgitzkieran

Both of these pirates still exist. -- Faulkston 01:45, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

  • Oppose. For the same reason. Chupchup 03:57, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

Pagani

I believe that the contents of the article Skittll belong in the place of Pagani, because it describe a pirate named Pagani. Therefore, delete the Pagani article (which is only a redirect) and move the Skittll page in its place. I could cut and paste, but this would not preserve article history. EDIT: The pirate Skittll has been deleted from Viridian. Chupchup 14:12, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

File:Temp-Chartprob1.png

Oppose deletion since this would result in removing information from a past discussion about a template. If anything the discussion on the talk page should be archived if there were an excessive amount of material on it. -- Faulkston 22:33, 1 December 2012 (PST)

Comment: Well it's an out-dated bug that doesn't exist any more, maybe store it on an external host such as imgur or imageshack? Avastme Talk
Why should images be moved to external image hosts just because they're illustrating bugs which have been fixed? -- Faulkston 01:04, 3 December 2012 (PST)
Because they have no use on the wiki other than creating a red link if removed. Avastme Talk 04:39, 3 December 2012 (PST)
If you see the only issue with this image is that a red link will be created if it's removed, don't you suppose that's an argument against removal? Is the image causing any issues by existing? --Belthazar451 11:40, 3 December 2012 (PST)
Storage space ;) LOL Try and find a category for it so it doesn't keep popping up in Special:UncategorizedFiles Avastme Talk 14:49, 3 December 2012 (PST)
Storage space is not a useful rationale unless Three Rings has told us that we need to conserve it. The file in question is 23KB, and disk space costs as little as $100 per terabyte. Chupchup 09:31, 3 January 2013 (PST)

Category:User_bg-N

Oppose deletion of this category since Bulgarian should have a native speaker level category just like other user page language categories. Deleting the unused category just because it isn't used at the moment would leave an inconsistency in the user page language categories. -- Faulkston 18:05, 15 December 2012 (PST)

Redirects helping people searching the YPPedia

Oppose deletion of these redirects since they help people search the YPPedia. -- Faulkston 19:06, 26 December 2012 (PST)

Speedy deletion request has been removed from TLM. -- Faulkston 22:57, 26 December 2012 (PST)

Mostly because I undid it before I noticed this here. =P --Belthazar451 05:31, 27 December 2012 (PST)
What's good for TLM is good for the others. -- Faulkston 12:25, 27 December 2012 (PST)

Brigand or Barbarian

I don't see why we should delete this page, it is an event that some friends of mine and I have made. Not sure why a speedy deletion is in progress. Results

  • Oppose deletion. The rationale is incorrect, this article title is perfectly fine. Many player-created events and guides are in the main namespace and there is no conflict for this to exist there. Two problems with the article can easily be corrected: it is currently an orphan (no other articles link to it) and it is uncategorized. I would suggest that you link to this article from your pirate, crew and flag pages. It can possibly be placed under Category:In-game events. But don't delete it. YPPedia is here for the players. Chupchup 09:29, 3 January 2013 (PST)
  • Oppose deletion. I agree with Chupchup. Yeah, it could use cleanup, but calling for deletion 16 minutes after creation it far too hasty. --Fiddler 12:26, 3 January 2013 (PST)

Nadeemoo

  • I oppose speedy deletion of this pirate page. The pirate does exist, but apparently, the player has been banned, if we can believe the content from the creation of the article. I have removed the inappropriate banplea and stubbed out a pirate page with an infobox. I hope this is sufficient to rescue this article from deletion. Chupchup 10:25, 12 June 2014 (PDT)
  • Oppose:I agree with the above, the article contains some encyclopaedic information now. --Therobotdude 10:57, 13 June 2014 (PDT)

Limited Edition Ship Prices

  • Oppose deletion: Prices of limited boats are part of the game's history, even if a quiet part, and are something that can help players greatly. The layout can be easily improved, especially if the sortable wikitable javascript were to be turned on or replaced with better scripting.

One of the hard parts of buying/selling a limited edition ship is pricing. Knowing how much the ships cost when they came out helps sellers and buyers have a ballpark estimate for the low end of a ship's price. The prices on limited boats do vary wildly, even for ships of the same size. If you didn't have the list for comparison, would you have known that the Alice Sloop cost almost three times the price of the Jungle sloop?

The prices page also reflects the Ringers' design choices. This page helps show how the ships have changed over time by allowing players to easily see the ships listed by date. From there all users need to do is click down the list to watch the design decisions progress! The prices also reflect game culture and how "fitting" the ships are to the game with ships that the Ringers felt fit better or would be less popular generally costing less than the widly unusual ships did.

The page isn't super pretty, but that can be fixed. For one, the list is set up as a "sortable wikitable" which would be very useful if this wiki had sortable wikitables turned on. One fast click would allow sorting by type, age, or price for fast reference! Images can be added and the text can be tweaked at the top to make it fit better if need be, not that pretty pictures are really needed here. Links to the ships pages can also be put in the table for cross-refferencing even though the ships listed are already linked on the bottom of the page.

This page has a ton of great information that players can use and helps preserve some interesting history. Please keep it. -- Lamoxlamae 15:54, 3 June 2015 (PDT)

  • I went ahead and greatly improved the page. If anyone still thinks it needs fixing, feel free to tweak it or bug me or whatever. :) I'm on forums with the same name. - Lamoxlamae 16:35, 3 June 2015 (PDT)
