History

Unaffiliated was created by Jelaena on March 27, 2007. Toward the end of a sloop pillage, Jelaena and her hearties decided to enter an event blockade on Guava Island. Because The Scurvy Scallywags did not fly a flag, the sloop could not influence buoys. For the length of their stay in that event blockade, the sloop and her crew sat on flags anyway and shot up anyone within reach. This ended when they were sunk; fortunately, the event did not stipulate permanent sinking. After this brief blockade adventure, it was decided that The Scurvy Scallywags needed a flag to fly, as did the crew of Jelaena's hearties, Joo Gif Poez. Because the game cited the sloop as "unaffiliated," they chose the name Unaffiliated for their flag. The Scurvy Scallywags joined the new flag immediately, and Joo Gif Poez joined the next day.
