How will you distinguish the central flag given that the blockade board is not known in advance? --Jacquilynne / Jasandrea 07:37, 18 January 2006 (PST)
Well i was thinking of maybe OM assistance in a board modification. If this is unfeasible, then the judge would have to point out
with the cutter the flag. If so there might be a 2 minute gap where ships remain in the safe zones, giving them the ability to load the
cannons, prepare and also understand the position of the flag.--Fryingpan 08:22, 18 January 2006 (PST)
Judging Questions
First of all, this event sounds like a lot of fun. I am afraid, though, that it will be difficult to police.
How will you determine that each sloop has only two players and two bots? Consider allowing any sloop on the board, with any staffing, but award only a fixed poe/doubloon prize that would have to be shared between all team members.
What will happen if a sloop enters the board with too many players and sinks a competitor sloop? A moot point if you eliminate the 2-man requirement.
What if no team controls the target for a full five turns? Will the contest go more rounds, or just give the prize to the highest scoring team?--Squashbuckle 18:16, 20 January 2006 (PST)
Thanks for pointing out these problems. For the first question I could /vwho the sloop, since contestants are registered. Although i am under consideration of changing the player limit, but if i do, the prize could be only money, and/or trinkets supplied by the OM. As for scoring, the contest may go up to three rounds. I describe that in the second round 2 sloops will enter to gun randomly around. If by the end there is no resolution, and depends of the number of players left, the most individual flag captures win. --Fryingpan 06:22, 21 January 2006 (PST)
