Musica Piratica was a flag on the Midnight Ocean. It was founded on June 29, 2006 by Maestro Muffynz and Concertmaster Leisan of the crew Keepers of the Forte to allow their crew all the advantages and game mechanics that a flag provides.
Musica Piratica was originally intended as a one-crew flag soley for use by the Keepers but as time passed the Maestro decided to expand and allow entrance to other crews. The formation of the flag was then changed from the policy that all senior officers in Keepers of the Forte would be flag royalty to the new standard that the captain of each crew would serve as flag royalty. The exception to this was that the Concertmaster of the Keepers of the Forte would stand in for the Maestro.
The first of the new crews to arrive was The Common Enemy which joined the flag on September 7, 2006 captained by Diemydarling, also formerly of Silver Dawn.
