Keepers of the Forte is a crew on the Midnight Ocean. It was founded on June 17, 2006 by Muffynz and Leisan, former members of the flag Silver Dawn. Keepers of the Forte is a strict role playing crew with all its roles, histories, ranks, and goals designed to emulate a secret society organization while utilizing musical puns and terminology.
Using such terms as Maestro instead of Captain, Concertmaster instead of First Mate, and numerous other musical titles and designations instead of common pirate ranks; Keepers of the Forte strives to bring musical fun into all aspects of the game while maintaining a firm military organization and secret society demeanor. The Keepers proudly fly a banner of silver and maroon.
The Keepers of the Forte merged with the crew The Common Enemy in late October when Muffynz semi-retired from the game and joined the British Bandits. Most members left prior to the merger.
Charter of the Keepers of the Forte
We the Keepers of the Forte, as those generations have before us, roam the oceans on our eternal, musical quest. We are an ancient order of the utmost secrecy whose identities and members lie concealed on the waves ever watchful and vigilant in our duties. We are charged by The Great Composer above to seek A Key, A Key to the Forte. For many centuries we have traversed these ocean straights in search of A Key only to find rumor after rumor false. At last we have arrived on this Ocean Midnight and, sensing our quest drawing to a close, have cast off our secrecies and cloaks to show those who would have A Key for themselves that the Rightful Guardians have returned.
One day we shall find A Key and use it to at last unlock the Grand Forte whose existence we have kept and protected for so long. At this time, the Musica Piratica will be freed and bring the world back in tune with ever present piratical peace and tranquility. Melodious shanties and harmonious verses will reign in reason and beauty across the oceans and the joyful song of millions will rise from every corner.
Until that day that our quest is completed, we sail the seas protecting all that is good and melodious, keeping the trade lines free of thieving brigands and barbarians, rising in arms against those that would disrupt the musical balance and infest the world with their dissonance, always on the lookout for a whisper or trace of where A Key might be.
