Category talk:Events
This category can be used by people to look for ideas for events or making sure their event hasn't been done before. --Guppymomma 10:00, 15 September 2005 (PDT)
Just doing a list of articles that can be done that fit in the events categories:
- flesh out Duty puzzle bake-off
- Fandango's blockadey event things (Ketchy cubby sp?)
- Raffles using the drinking piece color/type
- Whisk party
- Memorization party
- flesh out Drunken swordfighting
- transcribe interview with Cleaver on Ventrillo (see Talk:Cleaver (pirate))
Also the art ones could be good to nab before people's imageshack or whatnot links die. I don't know if archiving all the entries would be good or if just the winning ones. Either way, here's a list off the top of my head of art events that have been done:
- It would be nice if all entries could be archived, but it would be very difficult for contests that have had tens of entries. All prize-winning entries should not be a problem, however.--Bia 03:18, 16 September 2005 (PDT)
- Draw a parrot
- Draw the OM's
- Cross-section of Pirate Life
For the writing ones that don't have a tourney type structure, the entries don't really need archiving here as the links on the forum don't go bad, but maybe an article about the more creative/inventive ones?
- Write the OM's
- Short Story
Does anyone think it would be good to either plop the logs[1] here or to summarize the Q/A stuff on a page about the event? --Guppymomma 11:01, 29 October 2005 (PDT)
- The only way I could think to summarize some of it is if we offer a link to each of the chat logs what a short, 1 or 2 lines, thing about what was talked about each of the 4 meetings. Yeah I am just noticing all of this now... -Jacktheblack 07:09, 13 April 2006 (PDT)
Natural language category names
Just FYI, I've converted the "sub" categories of Events:Forum, Events:Game, and Events:Wiki to use natural language. They're now Forum events, In-game events, and Wiki events. See today's edit log with view bots turned on if you really want to see the edit mass. --Guppymomma 10:51, 17 July 2007 (PDT)
