Jaspar gems were used in the Mad Sloop Race around the Midnight Ocean. The event had to be cancelled due to unforseen circumstances, but a few of these gems made it into public circulation, and were subsequently pillaged from brigands[1]. No marked buys these gems, and they disappear when a ship's state resets, just as any other gem.
