yppRAW

yppRAW is a plugin for the open-source, multiplatform graphics editing tool, GIMP. It is intended to open most of the graphics files in .raw format that are shipped with the Puzzle Pirates distribution. These files are copyright by Three Rings, and should not be distributed in any format, but they can be useful for documentation and art contests.

Due to license restrictions, yppRAW is not distributed in binary form. The source code, for those interested, is linked at the bottom of this article. It has only been tested with MSVC++ 6.0, though it should work on any Intel PC platform. The plugin has been used with GIMP 2.0 and 2.2 on Windows 2000 and XP.

The GIMP 2.2 distribution includes a different filter for .raw files. This must be removed from the plugins directory, or yppRAW will not work.
