Just a word in your ear: even if a crew or flag has disbanded, we like to leave their encyclopedia entry in place, just for posterity and so that articles that link to them don't suddenly break. When moving articles

Be sure to click on "What links here" from the toolbox (should be bottom left of the screen when using most YPPedia skins) to see which articles need to be updated to link to the renamed article. When the Legion of Doom article was moved to Kingdom Of Illyria, this made 34 articles (currently) point to a redirection page. Marking defunct crews as Disbanded

Ahoy! Unless you have confirmed that a crew has disbanded by talking to the captain in-game, please do not alter the infobox by adding the |reason parameter. Ahoy! Just some clarification, defunct doesn't mean delete. We still keep the page so links from other pages don't suddenly break. If I'm "catching your drift" then you're saying that if a crew is merged it still retains it's original crewid? It doesn't - nothing changes except for the adding of pirates to the crew which is receiving the merge. The old crew yoweb page is deleted and replaced with "No such crew". --Addihockey ^{(talk/contribs)} 03:34, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

There is no proof that the crew has merged or disbanded. That's why I never added the |reason= parameter. --Addihockey ^{(talk/contribs)} 03:53, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
