From YPPedia

Ahoy! When you upload an image, you only need to do so once - the YPPedia software tends to cache images, so you may need to do a force refresh to get the image to show up correctly. The image dimensions stored on the page do update automatically, however, meaning what you'll probably end up seeing is the old image stretched to fit if the new one you uploaded is larger, but it will display correctly when you refresh the page. Try uploading your Ippolito image again and refresh before re-uploading or reverting. Fair winds! --Belthazar451 19:31, 11 June 2008 (PDT)

Egg images

Ahoy! Thanks for uploading pictures of all of the eggs as a portrait item. If at all possible, can you keep a record of which pirate's portrait gallery you've pulled the image from, and then you can either leave me a note on my talk page or you can PM me on the main forums as Fannon. Thanks! --Fannon 11:40, 13 June 2008 (PDT)

When you upload an image, there is a "Summary" field. In that summary, you need to put the appropriate image tag. In this case, it is {{portrait image}}. Then underneath use this format:
Taken from [http://INSERTOCEAN.puzzlepirates.com/yoweb/gallery/?pirate=PIRATENAME PIRATENAME's portrait gallery on INSERTOCEAN].
This way, your images will be appropriately labeled as soon as you upload them, rather than someone needing to go back through and add them in later. I'll go ahead and put it on the pictures you uploaded today, so don't worry about those. :) --Fannon 12:34, 13 June 2008 (PDT)
P.S. Don't forget to add your signature to a note on a talk page using --~~~~! (It's also the second button from the right above the edit box - the one that looks like scribbles.)

Nautilus images

Why are you uploading individual images of each color of the nautilus shell? --Fiddler 10:43, 17 June 2008 (PDT)

There is something I've been thinking about doing to display trinket images on several rows while only using the same single image. I'll try and do something a little later this afternoon. --Fiddler 10:55, 17 June 2008 (PDT)
Take a look now, I think this template formatting is simpler to maintain, both code and image-wise. --Fiddler 12:39, 17 June 2008 (PDT)
It's simpler to edit in that there is only one image, not several, should new colors be found or if previous colors need changing. And forum trade is not our priority here.--Fiddler 13:04, 17 June 2008 (PDT)

(undent) If you're unhappy with the visual presentation please try your hand at creating one you feel is both simple to maintain and visually appealing. Try using the div and hidden overflow techniques as currently used in Template:Compact trinket display. These will allow for the display to feed from a single image as opposed to having dozens of images floating around. --Fiddler 13:52, 17 June 2008 (PDT)
