Ahoy there; your user talk page is your kingdom, so I won't tell you how to do things, but an archive is generally for when a talk page is so full that things get unwieldy. The talk page itself serves as an automatic archive because of the nature of the MediaWiki software, so there isn't any need to move every message to a seperate page one at a time, although you're free to do so if you wish. Keep in mind that if you do it this way, it's going to be very disconcerting for other users, because most talk pages have users start a new section for new messages.
