User talk:Karlimero
I don't like to use the simplified "portrait" code because I think it's too simple. Ideally, a pirate article should follow the format seen YPPedia:Sample pirate page, complete with order of the infoboxes. Also, the "portrait" code that Emufarmers used doesn't allow removing of ocean categories when it's placed on a user page. This discussion on my talk page fully explains my position on it.
Hopefully we'll soon be updating the mediawiki software that the YPPedia runs on and then we'll be able to use one simple template for every pirate page. Until that day, however, it's better to use the long form code from YPPedia:Sample pirate page.--Fiddler 06:44, 18 May 2006 (PDT)
Opal buildings
For Opal we decided not to track things that may change often, like buildings and government. Somehow I don't like the idea that PCTB should influence how the wiki should work. Is there no way to teach PCTB to look at the german wiki for Opal islands (and the spanish wiki for Jade ones)? --Alfwyn 23:49, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
