Uploading images

Ahoy! When you upload a new version of an image, you only need to do it once. The wiki software caches images, so that's why you're still seeing the old one - to see the new one, just refresh the page. If that doesn't work, do a force refresh: ctrl-F5. Reply to upload image issue

For reasons unknown, the image submission form links to http://yppedia.puzzlepirates.com instead of https:// when you hit the Upload button. Cookies can't cross between secure and non-secure, so this causes the upload to fail, as you are likely only logged in on the https:// side.

That said, sometimes the upload works. I managed to upload the crew portrait you were referring to on the page, but I don't know why it worked for me. The last few posts in the YPPedia Status Thread are talking about this issue, and Cronus mentioned that it's been passed up the chain. --Thunderbird 19:49, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

That said, you may be able to make things work in the future by installing an add-on that forces the browser to use https://, even for http:// links. --Thunderbird 19:50, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

I've uploaded the shadow parrot image for you. Most of us are having issues with uploading so it's not you or your browsers its the wiki itself. For some reason I don't understand my Firefox browser will upload. --Crazymg 20:44, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
