All of the following are in wiki format for easy reading reference.

Error: "Grooming Pirates"

Upon startup the following error is encountered: "Grooming Pirates" (Screenshot)
This is caused by the client update from Java 1.4 to Java 1.5, and is tied in with the client's Retroweaver software.

  • Reinstall Java (Latest version preferrably)

Fullscreen (Removing)

Windows:

  • Right-click this.
  • Select "Save target as"
  • Run the file from where you saved it.

MAC:

  • Run PropertyListEditor.app (Located in: Macintosh HD -> Applications -> Utilities)
  • Open ~/Library/Preferences/rsrc.config.yohoho.plist
  • Change "full_screen" from "true" to "false"

Installer Stops During Installation

Logfile Providing

Windows:

  • Click on Start, then on Run.
  • Enter: "C:\Program Files\Three Rings Design\Puzzle Pirates\yohoho.log"
  • Depending on your configuration, you may be prompted to select an application with which to open the file. If it asks you to do so, select Wordpad.
  • Copy the contents into your post.

MAC:

  • Press apple-shift-A in Finder to open the Applications folder.
  • Right-click (or option-click) Puzzle Pirates, and select View Package Contents.
  • Open rsrc, then Java.
  • Double-click yohoho.log to open it. Copy the contents into your forum post.

Linux/*nix: (If your install directory is anything other than /path/to/yohoho/, use the correct one.)

  • Open up a new TTY, and type: more /path/to/yohoho/yohoho.log

Updating Graphics Card

Windows:
(2000/XP):

  • Right click your desktop.
  • Select "Properties."
  • Select the "Settings" tab.
  • Click "Advanced"
  • Select the "Adaptor" tab.
  • Click "Properties"
  • Select the "Driver" tab
  • Click "Update Driver..."
