Biography

Jethroe the Trader entered his piratical career on the Viridian Ocean shortly after the ocean had opened. Unfortunately, Jethroe was pretty stupid at this point in time and only played for a few weeks. After six months or so, Jethroe recovered from his bout of stupidity and returned to Viridian. Seeing as Jethroe wasn't a fresh greenie the second time around, The Vikings were happy to let him join. Unfortunately, The Vikings were and are autocratic, and the captain was banned. This kinda ruined poor Jethroe's chances of being promoted to officer. Fortunately, Captain Lani of the Polynesian Pillagers came up to disheartened on the street one day and offered him midshipmanship. Jethroe wisely accepted Lani's offer after he researched the Polynesian Pillagers and found out how awesome they were. Jethroe advanced to officer and then to fleet officer rather quickly. Before Jethroe was promoted to senior officer, he proposed to allow solo trade runs in the crew. This turned out to be a much more controversial topic than Jethroe had anticipated. Before the ordeal was over, Jethroe had been demoted to pirate. Fortunately, Jethroe got his rank back the same night and soloing was allowed in the Polynesian Pillagers for the purpose of trade. Jethroe has actively avoided political matters of any sort since the incident, and is happy because of it. Shortly after the soloing incident, Jethroe got his senior officership and the title of Trader. After a few weeks, Jethroe started a flag forum and website for the Pride of the Pacific, the flag founded by the Polynesian Pillagers. Jethroe is content with his position in the flag, but hopes to enter flag politics one day, or at least help plan and manage a blockade.

Jethroe's favorite puzzle is carpentry, which is usually a grand master of. Jethroe also enjoys sailing, but he sometimes drops down to renowned in it. Jethroe is a competent gunner and navigator, but absolutely loathes bilging, where is able, and his peak rating is respected. Jethroe would be an excellent battle navigator if he spent more time practicing, he eagerly awaits Rustycutlass.com's bnav simulator.

Jethroe is the proud owner of an under furnished townhouse, and a happy manager of an almost, but not quite profitable weaving stall.

Jethroe plans to buy a either buy a cutter or a war brig in the future to supplement his fleet of one. Hopefully Jethroe can get his business partner Siriuskase to buy the cutter. Jethroe is very proud of his sloop the Large Mummichog, which has the silliest name by far of any ship on the ocean.

Jethroe keeps his spare change in the doubloon exchange trading back and forth, he has lotsa spare change. The occasional market crashes disturb him though, and he intends to keep his extra cash in bid tickets for commodities he can sell dockside for a profit. Just as soon as Jethroe figures out how feasible this is, he'll try it out.

Jethroe's ultimate goal is to get ownership of an Inn, but seeing as they don't change hands when the governorship does, this may not ever happen. Jethroe may settle for an adorable little octopus though, we'll see.
