BonB Ettiquette
Once you enter the BonB house, you MUST NOT do these following things:
- Swear
- Spam
- Shout
- Job for a Blockade
- Dockpress
- Harass/Hearty/disrespect Anyone/Everyone
- Walk on the stage
- Bid fake bids
Doing any one of these things will result in banning from BonB
Overview
Booty or No Booty is a game where one can win a certain prize. There's much more to that, of course. Over the weeks, there are multiple chances to win golden tickets during tournaments, events, or even contests on the day of the game. If you win one for yourself, you can use it to try and get into the hot seat. Should you get into it, you can claim a mystery box. You then start eliminating other mystery prizes, so you can find out what could be in your box. But beware, regardless of whether your box contains a bandana or familiar, other people are snapping at your ankles, offering you extremely large amounts of money to give up your box.
You now have a risk to take. Do you give up your box for 500k poe, leaving your bidder with a parrot on his shoulder? Or will you regret rejecting to give away a bandana for several thousand poe? That's Booty or No Booty!
Pre-Game
One hour before the game starts, there will be a broadcast across the ocean, informing about the place, what can be won, and also a link to the rules page. To enter the event, go to the following places:
- Midnight-Thousand Caves of Doriath, Islay of Luthien
- Cobalt: Estate of Intoxication, Kirin Island
- Viridian: Sin City, Olive Island
- Sage: The Great Estate, Admiral Island
- Hunter: Tortilla Villas, Chachapoya Island
Nobooty is the host of the event.
While you are waiting, you can play a game or two in the house, chat around and do anything that isn't against the rules at the top.
Golden Ticket Lottery
At the start of the show, Nobooty will ask for golden tickets. If you have a golden ticket to hand in, you may give it him and wait for him to get to you. Your golden ticket will only count if it has your name on it, or doesn't have anyone else's name on it. After five minutes, those who have submitted a ticket will be invited to the other side of the garden, where a number of boxes have been set up. One by one, each person who submitted one will get to pick a box and keep it. (A player can have one box for every ticket he submits). Once all the boxes have been given out, you may open it and check what is inside. The presents may contain one of the following things:
- Bandana
- Bid ticket
- Greeting card
- Other gift
If you get a bandana or a bid ticket, you lost. If you get a greeting card and it says to shout,"BOOTY!", Congrats! You're in the hotseat!If it says you won a refund, trade request Nobooty and you get another golden ticket. If you get something else, listen to what Nobooty says.
Main Game
Once the contestant has been chosen, the main game begins!
The contestant will say a little about themselves, introducing you to them, before picking their box (out of 22) for the show. The box that they pick will almost ALWAYS be the box they win at the end of the game (see switcheroo for technicalities). That box will then be put aside.
Nobody knows what's in each box, but this is what they collectively contain:
- Tan bandana
- 5 PoE
- Fish skeleton
- 100 PoE
- Short hemp stack
- 400 PoE
- Rum barrel furniture
- Stiletto
- 2,500 PoE
- Fancy wardrobe
- 7,500 PoE
- Skull furniture
- Flower trinket
- Weapon
- 70,000 PoE
- Throne
- Full outfit
- 200,000 PoE
- Pig or Turtle
- Rare artifact
- 500,000 PoE
- Familiar
Of the 21 remaining prizes, they start to get eliminated.
In the first round, 5 boxes are eliminated. Each box and its contents are then removed. The contents of removed boxes can now no longer be won.
For example, if the player eliminated the familiar on the first box, not only can we deduce that the player's chosen box doesn't contain the familiar, but also that any other unopened boxes do. This means the present is lost for that episode, and nobody will win the familiar.
After 5 boxes have been opened, players will have the chance to bid for the player's chosen box. See the bidding section below for more details.
The aim of the game for the player is to eliminate the blue boxes - the boxes with a low value. If they eliminate low values, they know that their box that they chose will not contain that prize. So the aim is to be left with good prizes, because then the player is guaranteed to win one of them. Remember though, it's plain guessing, so you can't be sure what you're eliminating.
Once an offer has been made, the player can do one of two things:
- Say booty: They receieve the PoE offered, leave the game, and the box passes on to the successful bidder.
- Say no booty: The game continues as normal.
This continues for five more rounds, where in each round 3 more boxes are eliminated, leaving 14, 11, 8, 5 and 2 boxes left.
Bidding
Bidding is split into two parts:
Part One
This is just a round to see how much you are willing to bet. NO ITEMS ARE BIDDABLE, ONLY POE!. The highest bid after 30 seconds will proceed to Part 2
Part Two
This is the actual start of bidding. Each second part will have a bidding threshold. Bids that come over this, or very close to it, should be sent in a /pay to Nobooty. Bids under that should still come as a /tell. All /paid bids that were not successful will be returned.
After the time is up, the highest bid is determined, the offer made, and it is up tp the contestant to offer the infamous choice - booty, or no booty.
surPRIZES
During the game, there will be a few breaks for a few minutes. These are totally random and Nobooty decides when they happen. There will be 5,6 or even more boxes will be put in the room. Everyone is then challenged to complete a task, e.g. answer a trivia question. The winner, who is not always the first to answer, gets to pick one of the 5/6/more boxes. They can contain ANYTHING (Except a familliar) so be ready!
Switcheroo
At the end of all the rounds of bidding, the contestant(If he/she still says "No Booty"), will be asked to open one of two specially named boxes, e.g. Nobooty and Booty. The contestant may switch his current box to that opened one IF HE/SHE WISHES TO. The contestant then gets the box he has
