Public Statement

Ahoy! and welcome to Treasure Island, I hope you have a fun time pillaging with our crew!

Rules

1. DO NOT leave during battle. This is becuase officers cannot hire more people during battle. If you leave during battle, the enemy's comparitive rating goes up. Becuase we can't get a replacement, now we must fight one pirate down. So DONT LEAVE during battle.

2. Listen to your superiors. This applies to everyone. Jobbers, cabin people, and pirates, listen to your officers. But also, officers, please listen to your higher ranked people. If we don't want you to take out a certain ship, it'll be for a reason.

3. Know how to team. Teaming is esential to winning a battle. To team, click on a pirate's face. There should be ideally 3 dots on a pirates face - 2's also acceptable. BY NO MEANS shall we ever have four or one. An important exception is PVP. In pvp, there is no computer that can cheat. Nevertheless, 3 should be enough to take down a decent fighting pirate.

4. PTB. this is also know as permission to board. we do use it, but ONLY on sloop pillages, and sometimes cutter pillages. When ever a person announces a pillage over crew chat, however, you may get on without ptb, as is with warbrigs, merch brigs, frigs, and galleons. The reason is sometimes we may be hunting imps, and a not-so-good puzzler may not contribute as much to a ship. Also, seven people on a sloop sometimes spawns brigs, which many officers DO NOT like to fight.

Advancing through the ranks is hard. Just do well, follow those rules, have fun, and you'll get a /tell about your promotion (unless its just to pirate.)
