The Independents is a tiny crew on the Cerulean Ocean, flying under the flag of The Browncoats.
Public statement
'Tis the Government's job, t' get in a pirate's way...
This crew is for Officer-level pirates, (and their alts) who want t' be sailin' their own ships around by themselves, wi'out the fuss and bother of a large crew. Because all members are Officers, (and ye have to trust someone a good bit, t' make 'em an Officer) this crew be acceptin' members on an INVITATION ONLY basis.
We have no crew! We need no crew! ... This be our crew.
It all started when a few good mates got tired o' all the crew Politics and decided to go Independent. They liked each other well enough, and trusted each other well enough, that they decided t' form a single three-person crew, instead o' three one-person crews. They could sail their own ships, free from oversight, and use Crew Chat to yammer on wi' each other, as they went.
History
The Independents was founded on the Cerulean Ocean in 2007 by Sabbi, Errod and Lado after several months had passed without any other member of their existing crew having logged on.
