Template talk:Sandbox Misnamed
From YPPedia
Building names with apostrophes break the move link provided in the misnamed image template (the URL becomes %2527 where an apostrophe is). If anyone wants to take a shot at correcting it, feel free to use this template as a sandbox (I'll leave it up for now). Note that I'm not sure how the system will respond when a user without administrative access tries to move an image (though as I've said a few times, I have no idea why moving of files is not available to standard users). --Thunderbird 04:16, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
- Ah, now I see the %2527. It's the same issue we've been having with file uploads, with the url getting encoded twice. You'll have to take out the urlencode on the destination, I guess. --Budclare2 01:50, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
- Argh. I'm not even sure it's possible, even though it should be. Our options seem to be no encoding or double encoding, which is nuts. :( --Budclare2 02:28, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
- I think I found a workaround...that needs "MediaWiki 1.19+". We have 1.18, naturally. /e gives up :( --Budclare2 02:45, 12 January 2017 (UTC)
