Template talk:Map:Midnight Ocean
Opal and coral island descriptors still need to be done - I'm too tired to do it properly now. --Nicksterv (t/c) 15:48, 12 April 2006 (PDT)
Has there been any thought to adding the colour bar chart to the ocean maps, in addition to the detailed island maps? --Spelunk 19:49, 18 April 2006 (PDT)
- Nope. Do you think it would be useful? --Barrister 20:03, 18 April 2006 (PDT)
Interarch Maps

Dead points
Since dead points are no longer memmable, nor remembered, why not remove them from the map?
League point difficulty annotation
I see that there is some experimentation going on for how best to annotate and show LP difficulty. It's excellent that more data is becoming available here but it would be nice if the syntax were reasonably stable and the rendering reasonably pretty before significant amounts of it appears in production ocean charts.
Can I suggest that this should be done only in Template:Map:Ice_Ocean until the final syntax is figured out and the rendering is plausible ? I see that work is already going on there, which is good, but can we remove the partial annotations for Ruby from the Midnight map for now ?
The wiki maps for production oceans are heavily used by actual pirates wanting to do piratey things, and the experimentation can get in the way rather.
(Full disclosure: I'm the author of a set of tools, ypp-sc-tools, which amongst other things scrape ocean topology data from yppedia. It is good that more data is available.)
