1st comment
This should probably be swapped so that NPP points to Non player pirate and not the other way around. --Barrister 22:02, 8 October 2005 (PDT)
2nd comment
Should add a Historical Note section for when swabbie transports became available. --Mcnabulous 04:25, 28 May 2008 (PDT)

Animals != Pirates
Incidentally, sheep are not pirates, and thus are not NPPs. Neither are rabbits. --Belthazar451 05:58, 19 June 2014 (PDT)
- Fair enough. What should we call them, instead of NPPs? I'd call them NPCs, myself (just like is used with all other RPGs). -- Franklincain (t/c) 07:54, 19 June 2014 (PDT)
- Addendum: Just included this distinction into "Non-player_pirate". -- Franklincain (t/c) 07:58, 19 June 2014 (PDT)
- They are called "pets." Chupchup 08:54, 19 June 2014 (PDT)
- Although... there is an article on animals, which might fit these creatures better. And since they are not NPPs, why should they even be mentioned in the article on non-player pirates? For the sake of completeness? Chupchup 09:26, 19 June 2014 (PDT)
- For the sake of completeness, aye. ;-)
- And I believe it would be just as proper to call them "animals" as to call them "pets"...(So, use both terms, perhaps?) And since these are animated entities, not under the control of players, they should be labelled (and tracked) using an appropriate term. For most RPGs (and other appropriate games), that term is usually "NPC"; in Puzzle Pirates, the closest appropriate analogue is "NPP", which is therefore what I was using. It's the most intuitive term to use, for this game, I've seen so far, for the collective category containing all of these animated entities. Thanks! -- Franklincain (t/c) 12:40, 19 June 2014 (PDT)
