mystery box --> wrapped present (in the FURNITURE section of my inventory)

I keep forgetting these boxes are effectively a form of "wrapped present" and as such are hiding in my Furniture section of my inventory. (I keep looking for these in the Miscellaneous section, instead.) Have they been specific "mystery box" items before this month? I can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure they've just been LE-coloured regular presents. --Belthazar451 15:12, 28 July 2012 (PDT)

I'm referring to the item itself, here. The promotion has been called something something Mystery Box for a long while, but I'm pretty sure the item received was a present. For this promotion, though, it's an item called "mystery box" with a skull and crossbones on the side. --Belthazar451 16:27, 28 July 2012 (PDT)

It still is a wrapped present; it just has a different label this time. But I do not recall whether or not the previous versions were labelled as "____ Mystery Box" (instead of "Wrapped Present") in the past. I do know the current one is labelled as "Plum Mystery Box" (instead of "Wrapped Present"). In any event, if someone else looks for this (or any other past) Mystery Box, and they cannot find it (because they either forgot or do not realize that, as a wrapped present, their Mystery Box gift will be in their Furniture section, and not the Miscellaneous section), if they think to check Yppedia for "mystery box", this article will help them by letting them know where to look in their inventory. usable as portrait item?

Later this month, when they have the annual "Plum" mystery box promotion, I'd like to find out if the mystery box itself is usable as a portrait item. I'm guessing that it SHOULD, because it is after all a wrapped present, but I'm hoping to get confirmation (as well as the relevant image cropped from a portrait). -- Franklincain ^(t/c) 11:08, 4 July 2013 (PDT)

Update: Nope, no go. Just tested today with a Plum Mystery Box. I captured screenshots showing the complete list of items I could use, and the mystery box wasn't included. (Shown in three parts: 1, 2, 3.) Oh well... -- Franklincain ^(t/c) 10:58, 13 July 2013 (PDT)
