Given that most things in this ocean are named after biological classifications, I have replaced the Turkish meaning of Marmara with the biological one. --Actreal 23:36, 11 May 2008 (PDT)
- Actually, all of the islands I've seen so far in this archipelago are named after seas, so I suspect the Sea of Marmara is the primary source of the name. Not sure what the Odonata has to do with it, though, unless it's Turkish for Ocean. Or maybe the two words are simply unrelated. --Belthazar451 16:21, 12 May 2008 (PDT)
