Extinct routes?

I'm pretty sure Kashgar-Descartes has never actually existed as a chart, and from what I can tell, Kashgar-Cook may have become an extinct chart. There are actually 354 points on Sage (the league point article says 347), but if the numbers for the portrait items are still the same (I'm at 95 points memmed on Sage, so I'm close to the 2nd one), then that would mean that a chart has been made extinct. --Thunderbird 00:21, 7 November 2005 (PST)

I wouldn't bet on there being extinct routes. Instead, I'd bet that someone (either Ringer or player) has miscounted. Probably a Ringer when setting the thresholds. --Barrister 00:36, 7 November 2005 (PST)
There's definitely an issue somewhere with the rarity of one or both maps. The Descartes and Greenwich navy ships have hundreds of maps—close to ten copies of each route—but no interarches to Kashgar. The navy also doesn't run from Descartes to Kashgar, but there is a navy run from Lincoln to Morannon (and interarches on other oceans). – Yaten talk 04:55, 7 November 2005 (PST)
Looking more closely at this issue, has anyone ever seen a Kashgar-Descartes route? If not, then we should remove it from the wiki. It's only extinct if it once existed and now doesn't. --Barrister 13:54, 7 November 2005 (PST)
I have never seen a Kashgar-Descartes. However, the only time I've seen a Kashgar-Cook is when Yaten let me borrow his copy to mem it. I've pillaged multiple copies of the other interarchs linking to Pelican. --Thunderbird 13:56, 7 November 2005 (PST)
Best I could find: http://forums.puzzlepirates.com/community/mvnforum/viewthread?p=405179#405179, but there's no confirmation that Kashgar-Descartes actually exists, just his/her text. – Yaten talk 14:07, 7 November 2005 (PST)
